Participants

Who can apply?

The main target audience for the URCUP are students who recently graduated their Bachelor's / state examination studies or are in the late stage of graduation

As such, students with a Bachelor project finished after September 2023 can apply for participation to the 2024 URCUP conference.

Master students who finished their Bachelor studies earlier than the above date may also be eligible. These students can choose if either to present their Bachelor thesis or their current research projects (F-Praktikum, Master thesis).

Application Process

Eligible students are nominated by the supervisors of their Bachelor thesis and will receive an invitation email from the conference committee upon positive selection.

Alternatively, students may apply for participation to the 2024 URCUP conference by sending their Bachelor transcripts together with a short, informal letter of application to urcup@cup.uni-muenchen.de.

Posters

Students present their research in the form of a poster and a short "flash presentation" (~1 min). The posters can be printed via the in-house plot services (https://plotsrv.cup.uni-muenchen.de/), which are usually much cheaper than external print shops. All costs for the posters should be covered by the group where the research was conducted.

Travel Costs

All costs for accomodation and catering are covered by the faculty of chemistry and pharmacy. There will be a free bus transfer from Großhadern to the conference venue.
